Ready

Ok berry pickers. You are welcome to come pick. Most of the bushes still need another week or so, but there are plenty on the "ready" bushes. The North side of the property farthest to the back is ready for picking. Please remember to ONLY pick the berries that are entirely blue. They are $2.50 a quart and that roughly equals 2lbs. See you soon!

So Close!

We are getting so close to blueberry time! We have several

bushes that have blueberries ready to pick and they just need about 1 1/2 - 2 more weeks and we will be ready for you!

Thanks for checking the blog - remember to check back in a couple weeks to see if we are open for business.

Blueberry Basics

We are a family business and value our existing loyal customers. We also welcome their family and friends that they bring to pick with them. We are not a public u-pick. We want to always have enough berries for our customers and enjoy the familiarity that we and the Robinson's have shared with each of you.

The blueberries are $3.00 a quart this year. The parking is located close to the entrance of the driveway marked with a sign. Please be considerate of other drivers when parking your vehicle. The buckets and payment box are located in the parking area.

Picking Tips

To pick ripe berries, take a cluster in one hand and gentle roll your thumb over the berries. The ripe berries will fall off into your hand (without a stem) while the unripe berries will stay on the bush.

A ripe berry will be entirely blue and should come off the bush without much effort. An unripe berry is green, entirely red, or has a red blush around the stem.

When picking berries, remember to be gentle to the plant - do not bend, break, or twist the branches. The future health of and the amount of fruit on the bushes depend on how the plants are treated by pickers.

Children

We love children and it is fun to have them picking blueberries. We do ask that if you bring your kids, please keep an eye on them. The bushes can be easily damaged and children running through the bushes can damage the stocks. Thank You!
