Are you ready for some blueberries?

The blueberries are getting very close to ready. Several bushes have their early berries blue and ready to pick. But the majority of the property needs another week of HOT weather to push the berries to readiness! If you are dying to get some fresh blueberries and are willing to hunt for the ripe ones, we will officially open on Saturday June 15th, 2013.

We provide buckets for you to use while you pick,
the measurements are on the inside of the bucket and
we charge by the quart. Bring you OWN bag to get the
berries home, please don't take our buckets :)

The price is $3.00/quart. It takes roughly 1 1/2 pounds to equal 1 quart.

I will update the blog when the bushes are fully ripe!

Blueberry Basics

We are a family business and value our existing loyal customers. We also welcome their family and friends that they bring to pick with them. We are not a public u-pick. We want to always have enough berries for our customers and enjoy the familiarity that we and the Robinson's have shared with each of you.

The blueberries are $3.00 a quart this year. The parking is located close to the entrance of the driveway marked with a sign. Please be considerate of other drivers when parking your vehicle. The buckets and payment box are located in the parking area.

Picking Tips

To pick ripe berries, take a cluster in one hand and gentle roll your thumb over the berries. The ripe berries will fall off into your hand (without a stem) while the unripe berries will stay on the bush.

A ripe berry will be entirely blue and should come off the bush without much effort. An unripe berry is green, entirely red, or has a red blush around the stem.

When picking berries, remember to be gentle to the plant - do not bend, break, or twist the branches. The future health of and the amount of fruit on the bushes depend on how the plants are treated by pickers.

Children

We love children and it is fun to have them picking blueberries. We do ask that if you bring your kids, please keep an eye on them. The bushes can be easily damaged and children running through the bushes can damage the stocks. Thank You!
