Still Plenty!

Hi all. We have a ton of blueberries that are ripe and ready to be picked. Our late season berries are just starting to turn, so we should have great picking through the first week in August! The South side (opposite side of parking area) is busting with berries, so please remember to wonder around.

You can come anytime, no set picking times. The buckets and payment box are located in the parking area. Also, please be courteous to other pickers and park your car so that others have room to park. Thank you!

More Beautiful Berries

More blueberries are coming on every day. The North side of the property has been producing well and the South side just came on. Please feel free to roam the property and find the berries that you like best. Remember that there are over 14 different varieties,so the taste will very. Some varieties produce large berries like you find in mountain areas, and some are smaller like in the New England area.

Tip: dig to the middle of the heavy foliage bushes and you might find some large ripe berries!

2010 Blueberries

Hi Blueberry lovers! I am a bit late getting a post on here, but the blueberries are VERY close to being ready. We have 2 rows of mainly blue and the rest are coming soon. The buckets will be out by the end of this week - remember they are marked inside by the quart. The price this year is $2.50 per quart. The berries are beautiful this year, they love all the rain and cooler weather. The Hancock family is looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Blueberry Basics

We are a family business and value our existing loyal customers. We also welcome their family and friends that they bring to pick with them. We are not a public u-pick. We want to always have enough berries for our customers and enjoy the familiarity that we and the Robinson's have shared with each of you.

The blueberries are $3.00 a quart this year. The parking is located close to the entrance of the driveway marked with a sign. Please be considerate of other drivers when parking your vehicle. The buckets and payment box are located in the parking area.

Picking Tips

To pick ripe berries, take a cluster in one hand and gentle roll your thumb over the berries. The ripe berries will fall off into your hand (without a stem) while the unripe berries will stay on the bush.

A ripe berry will be entirely blue and should come off the bush without much effort. An unripe berry is green, entirely red, or has a red blush around the stem.

When picking berries, remember to be gentle to the plant - do not bend, break, or twist the branches. The future health of and the amount of fruit on the bushes depend on how the plants are treated by pickers.

Children

We love children and it is fun to have them picking blueberries. We do ask that if you bring your kids, please keep an eye on them. The bushes can be easily damaged and children running through the bushes can damage the stocks. Thank You!
