Bursting with Blueberries

We have a great crop of blueberries this year. It is rare to have this many still on and more to turn this late in the summer. I think we should have blueberries through mid August. Remember you can come pick during daylight hours that work for you. It is on the honor system, the berries are $2.50 a quart. Just remember to bring a bag to get the blueberries home (please don't take our containers). See you soon...

READY!!

Welcome! We are open and ready for blueberry pickers. There are a lot of bushes that are blue and ready to be picked and still a lot that are turning. It looks like the season will go into August this year. Remember that you can come anytime to pick. The buckets and payment mailbox will be next to the blueberry parking sign. They are still $2.50/quart (marked on the buckets). Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces!!! You can call if you have any questions Windy 528-6392.

Better late than never...

The blueberries are looking awesome this year! They are plentiful, but still green. We have some early varieties on the North (closest to the road) that are starting to turn. I know many of you are used to 4th of July berry picking. I will update by Friday to let you know if that is possible. For now, we are just waiting for them to turn blue.

Blueberry Basics

We are a family business and value our existing loyal customers. We also welcome their family and friends that they bring to pick with them. We are not a public u-pick. We want to always have enough berries for our customers and enjoy the familiarity that we and the Robinson's have shared with each of you.

The blueberries are $3.00 a quart this year. The parking is located close to the entrance of the driveway marked with a sign. Please be considerate of other drivers when parking your vehicle. The buckets and payment box are located in the parking area.

Picking Tips

To pick ripe berries, take a cluster in one hand and gentle roll your thumb over the berries. The ripe berries will fall off into your hand (without a stem) while the unripe berries will stay on the bush.

A ripe berry will be entirely blue and should come off the bush without much effort. An unripe berry is green, entirely red, or has a red blush around the stem.

When picking berries, remember to be gentle to the plant - do not bend, break, or twist the branches. The future health of and the amount of fruit on the bushes depend on how the plants are treated by pickers.

Children

We love children and it is fun to have them picking blueberries. We do ask that if you bring your kids, please keep an eye on them. The bushes can be easily damaged and children running through the bushes can damage the stocks. Thank You!
